Steamers v Weaverham Wolves

At the recent Salford City Reds v Bradford Bulls Super League fixture, a large appreciative crowd were entertained to a tight game between the Steamers and Weaverham under 12s. There was not much between the teams; however due to some hard work by Dominic Wooding, Grant Weekes and Dean Parkinson the Steamers managed to squeeze out a 4 - 0 victory. The Steamers would like to thank everyone at Salford for making us so welcome.

Colwyn Bay Festival

The Steamers under 14s put up a creditable performance at the recent Colwyn Bay festival. In their first game the Steamers took on a strong Colwyn Bay side. Although the Steamers lost the game they showed commitment, and some considerable skill, throughout the game. Most observers agreed that the players grew in confidence has the game progressed. In the second game the Steamers coasted to a victory against the strong and physical Runcorn Vikings. The Steamers were strong in defence and silky smooth in attack. Overall the Festival provided the players with much needed game experience. The Steamers would like to thank everyone at Colwyn Bay for organising this event.
